Is high screen time bad?
Context matters. 5 hours reading, learning, or creating is different from 5 hours of passive scrolling. Research consistently shows that passive consumption (scrolling feeds, watching shorts) correlates with lower wellbeing, while active use (messaging friends, creating content, learning) shows neutral or positive effects.
